The robot uses a 3D LiDAR, two depth cameras, sonar and time-of-flight sensors. It detects a person or an object, drives around it, and returns to its route on its own.

How this is calculated, including the 15% supervision assumption
Units needed is your daily area divided by the R5's 5,000 m² coverage per charge, rounded up. That assumes one charge cycle per robot per day, which suits a single overnight shift. A full cycle is 4 h 20 min of cleaning plus 3 h 30 min of charging. A site open longer gets a second cycle from each robot over about sixteen hours, and a third over twenty-four, so it needs fewer robots. Run hours use the published average cleaning efficiency of 1,300 m² per hour. The supervision share above is reserved for filling and emptying tanks, spot checks and watching the robot. That is a cautious allowance, because the included refuel station handles refilling and draining between runs. Only the hours left over count as freed up, spread across 52 weeks. Shifts are those hours divided by eight. The value is the same hours priced at the rate you entered, in the currency you chose, with no conversion applied. These are hours moved to work that was being skipped, not a smaller team. You pay for the robot once; labour is an operating cost that recurs every month, which is the comparison that matters. Actual results vary by building complexity and labour market conditions.

What if a cleaning company cleans your building?
Many buildings do not employ their own cleaners. This page is still for you.
You can buy the robot yourself and ask your cleaning company to operate it. The robot belongs to you, and so does the cleaning data. If you change cleaning company, the robot and its records stay in your building. Your new cleaning company starts with the floors already mapped.
You can also ask your cleaning company to bring a robot of its own. Either way, ask to see the report after every run. That is what tells you the floors were cleaned.
Does a cleaning robot need someone to operate it?
No. A cleaner starts the robot on a saved route and walks away. The robot cleans and dries the floor on its own. The same cleaner then works on the toilets, the edges and the glass. You do not need to hire anyone to run the robot.
Is a cleaning robot safe around people?
Yes. The robot uses a 3D LiDAR, two depth cameras, sonar and time-of-flight sensors to detect people and objects. It drives around them and returns to its route on its own. The R5 runs at 70 dB, so it can work while your building is open.
What happens to our cleaners?
They keep their jobs and their work changes. The robot cleans the large open floor. Your cleaners clean the toilets, the edges, the glass and everything a machine cannot reach. Most buildings use the hours they save on work that was being skipped.
How much training do our staff need?
Daily use takes a short session, because the job is to place the robot, choose a route and press start. Mapping a new floor takes more training. Most buildings send one or two supervisors to LionsBot Academy for that.
Who repairs the robot if it stops working?
Support comes from LionsBot, or from the LionsBot dealer for your country. We can also train your own staff to fix simple faults, so a small problem does not always mean waiting for an engineer to visit.
Can we see your SOC 2 or SOC 3 report?
Yes. We can send you the SOC 3 report straight away, because it is written for public use. The SOC 2 report is more detailed, and we share it after you sign a non-disclosure agreement. LionsBot also holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001, and complies with GDPR.
